  • DG..C monitors the increasing or decreasing positive pressure of natural gas, town gas, LPG, flue gas, biologically produced methane and air e.g. on a gas control line. If the gas pressure either exceeds or falls short of a set switching point, an NO contact or a change-over contact will switch in the pressure switch. With the DG..VC, the switching point may be adjusted using a hand wheel. The DG..VC is suitable for heating boilers, for example, which are operated with LPG as well as natural gas. In the case of the double pressure switch DG../..VC, the minimum and maximum switching point can be set on two hand wheels. Using this function, a system is controlled to prevent gas deficiencies and excess gas pressure. For pressure control it requires only one gas connection. The electrical connections can be fed in from one direction.   • Tightness controls
  • The tightness control TC checks the fail-safe function of both valves before each start-up or after each shutdown of a system with two safety valves. The aim is to identify an inadmissible leak on one of the gas valves and to prevent burner start. The other gas valve continues working properly and takes over the safe shut-off of the gas supply. It is used in industrial thermoprocessing equipment, on boilers and on forced draught burners. Standards ISO 13577-2, EN 746-2 and EN 676 stipulate tightness controls for capacities over 1200 kW (NFPA 86: from 117 kW or 400,000 Btu/h in conjunction with a visual indicator).

  • Linear flow controls with actuator
  • The IFC is composed of linear flow control VFC and actuator IC 20 or IC 40. It is designed to adjust volumes of gas and cold air on various appliances. The IFC is designed for control ratios up to 25:1 and is suitable for regulating flow rates for modulating or stage-controlled combustion processes. Actuator IC 20 is controlled by a modulating signal or three-point step signal. Actuator IC 40 offers additional functions. It can be adjusted using the BCSoft programming software via an optical interface. The control type (two-point signal, three-point step signal or continuous control), running times, angles of rotation and intermediate positions can thus be programmed. Actuator IC 30 (24 V DC) can also be combined with a VFC.

  • Butterfly valves with actuator
  • The butterfly valves are designed to adjust volumes of gas, cold and hot air and flue gas on various appliances and flue gas lines. They are designed for control ratios up to 1:10, and with the mounted actuator they are suitable for regulating flow rates for modulating-controlled or stage-controlled combustion processes. BVG, BVA: BVG for gas, BVA for air. These butterfly valves BVG..H, BVA..H can also be supplied with manual adjustment. Butterfly valves BVG, BVGF, BVA and BVAF with reduced nominal diameter (reduced by one or two nominal sizes) can be used to achieve higher control accuracy. This will mean that complex reducing fittings will no longer be required. Various adapter sets with square shaft, free shaft end or lever are available as accessories. Flow rates can be set and fixed using a lever, for example to limit the high-fire rate on the burner. A scale indicates the set angle of opening. BVGF, BVAF: Butterfly valves BVGF and BVAF work clearance-free. In case of change of direction, the butterfly valve adjusts to the setpoint without delay. The butterfly valve thus reaches the required position more quickly. BVH, BVHR, BVHS, BVHM: Butterfly valve for hot air and flue gas. The butterfly valve BVH, BVHR, BVHS is used for processes that require the very precise adjustment of the flow rate or low leakage. In conjunction with the stop bar, the valve disc ensures very low leakage rates. Using a spiral spring which compensates for the play in combination with the actuator IC 40, it is possible to move the valve disc to the required angle with almost zero hysteresis. BVHS: The butterfly valve BVHS with safety closing function is used with the actuator IC 40S in systems where it is important that in the event of a mains voltage failure, the valve closes, preventing air streaming into the furnace without being under control. In order to maximize the service life of the butterfly valve, the safety closing function should be used only for the scheduled closing function and not for controlled shut-down or for intermittent switching of the burner. BVH, BVHR: Butterfly valve BVH is suitable for applications up to 450°C. The BVHR can be used at a medium temperature of up to 550°C. BVHM: Butterfly valve BVHM is used in intermittent mode. Solenoid actuator MB 7 is available as an actuator for the BVHM. IBG, IBGF, IBA, IBAF, IBH, IBHR, IBHS: Butterfly valves BVG, BVGF, BVA, BVAF, BVH, BVHR or BVHS and actuator IC 20 or 40 can be delivered ready assembled as butterfly valves with actuator IBG, IBGF, IBA, IBAF, IBH, IBHR or IBHS.

  • The actuators are designed for all applications that require precise, controlled rotary movement between 0° and 90°. In In conjunction with a control element, they are suitable for regulating flow rates on gas and air appliances for modulating or stage-controlled combustion processes. In addition to setting the Min. and Max. positions using infinitely adjustable switching cams, floating limit switches mean that additional switching positions such as for ignition and high-fire rate positions can be set. A standard Service switch allows the device to be switched from Automatic to Manual mode and a position indicator which can be read from the outside drastically simplifies the commissioning procedure. IC 20, IC 30 and IC 50 are controlled by a three-point step signal. IC 20..E and IC 50..E can also be controlled by a continuous signal. IC 30 is suitable for 24 V DC applications. An integrated feedback potentiometer offers the option of monitoring the current position of the actuator. This checking function can be used in automation processes. IC 20..E, IC 50..E: The behaviour of the actuator, e.g. if the input signal falls below the minimum limit in the event of cable discontinuity, can be set using DIP switches. Fluctuations or interference in the input signal are suppressed by an adjustable potentiometer. In the case of continuous control, the input signal can be adapted to the minimum and maximum adjustment angles manually or automatically. This calibration process can be visualized using LEDs. The continuous signal offers the option of monitoring the current position of the actuator. IC 20: The actuator IC 20 can be mounted directly onto the butterfly valves BVG, BVGF, BVA, BVAF, BVH or BVHS. The combination is designed for control ratios up to 10:1. Actuator IC 20 and linear flow control VFC can be delivered ready assembled. The combination is designed for control ratios up to 25:1. IC 30: Actuator IC 30 can be used as an actuator for linear flow control VFC. The IC 30, linear flow control VFC and the adapter set are not assembled on delivery. This combination is designed for a control ratio of up to 25:1. Actuator IC 30 can be used as an actuator for butterfly valves BVA and BVG. An adapter set must be used for assembly. The IC 30, butterfly valve BVA/BVG and the adapter set are not assembled on delivery. This combination is designed for a control ratio of up to 10:1. IC 50: is designed for applications with high torques of up to 30 Nm. Actuator IC 50 and butterfly valve DKR are also delivered ready assembled up to nominal size 300. The direction of rotation of the valve disc can be switched. The valve disc position can be read from the outside whereby the direction of rotation is indicated using a colour code. An optional integrated feedback potentiometer offers the option of monitoring the current position of the actuator. This checking function can be used in automation processes. The IC 40 can be used on continuously-controlled burners and on stage-controlled burners. Settings on the actuator IC 40 can be made using a PC with the programming software BCSoft. All the relevant settings for the process are made using the software via an optical interface. Various operating modes, which may be modified, are stored in the unit. In addition, the control type (two-point step signal, three-point step signal or continuous control), running times, adjustment angles and intermediate positions can be programmed. The actuator can also be controlled “by hand” using the software. Once set, all the parameters can be saved on the PC and copied from there into other actuators, thus saving time during the commissioning process. In a furnace and zone control system, the FCU 500 assumes central functions. The FCU 505 is used to monitor local safety functions and to control the zone capacity. If the centrally checked safety requirements, e.g. pre-purge, flow detector and pressure switch check, have been met, the FCUs issue the start enable signal to the burner control units. The FCU is optionally available with integrated safety temperature monitor or safety temperature limiter, integrated tightness control and with an interface for controlling the capacity of actuators or a frequency converter interface. The program status and device parameters can be read directly from the unit. The FCU can be activated manually using the integrated Manual mode for setting and diagnostic purposes. All valid parameters are saved on an integrated parameter chip card. The parameter chip card can be removed from the old unit and inserted into a new FCU to transfer the parameters, for example when replacing the unit. The monitored outputs for the actuator and valves are accommodated in a plug-in power module. This can simply be replaced if necessary. The FCU can be installed on a DIN rail in the control cabinet. Plug-in connection terminal strips on the FCU make it easier to install and remove. The external operator-control unit OCU is available as an option for the protective system controls. The OCU can be installed in the control cabinet door instead of standard control units. The program status, statistics, parameter values or fault messages can be read on the OCU.
